New Indiegogo campaign introduces the First-ever Truly Autonomous suitcase

By: Get News
Follow Me is a breakthrough autonomous suitcase which can follow its user wherever he goes, avoiding all obstacles on the way. It’s the first smart suitcase to use AI technology.

Imagine the ease of having your suitcase automatically following you all across the airport, bypassing all obstacles en route. And that too, without the need of touching it even for a single moment! Sounds too good to be true? Well, a new Indiegogo campaign has turned the utopian dream possible with the world’s FIRST ever “Truly Autonomous” suitcase. Aptly titled “Follow Me,” this autonomous robotic companion is powered by AI & machine learning technologies, and it can follow its user everywhere, wading through all obstacles on the way.

The campaign is geared to raise around $916,818 within the first quarter of June 2019.

The revolutionary Follow Me robotic suitcase works in tandem with its signature app which a user has to install in his smartphone. The suitcase is equipped with in-built sensors that can detect obstacles on the way (say furniture or people) while its advanced omni wheels facilitate seamless multi-directional movement. Follow Me can travel both horizontally & vertically. You can even put on another luggage on top of it while it’s moving horizontally. This way, the user won’t have to drag any of the luggage.

“We know it’s a pain to drag your heavy luggage across an overcrowded airport or station, especially when you are in a rush. But you can easily bid adieu to all such woes from now on, courtesy, our futuristic AI-based robotic suitcase friend ‘Follow Me.’ It’s the first ever truly autonomous robot suitcase which will follow you everywhere, avoiding all obstacles en route. It banks on its in-built AI & machine learning technologies to optimize its movements while its omni wheels leverage its stability & motion range to newer heights”, stated Manon Khan, the man behind  Follow Me.

How does Follow Me work?

  • Your smartphone sends out a Bluetooth signal to Follow Me.
  • 3 in-built sensors (inside the suitcase) receive & triangulate the signal
  • Based on these signals, a microprocessor inside the suitcase localizes user’s smartphone and tracks its movements.
  • The microprocessor steers a pair of caterpillar tracks inside the case to make the suitcase follow the user’s phone signal.

If the signal gets interrupted somehow, the suitcase can lock itself to prevent any theft attempt. Besides, it immediately sends out a message to the phone informing that it has lost out on signal.

Follow Me is here to make travelling easier than ever. It’s just the thing that you have been waiting for. Currently, we are looking to start mass production and hence this Indiegogo campaign. Your generous support will enable us to bring this much-awaited pathbreaking suitcase to all of you for more convenient travelling.”
