About the author:
Iris Todd Lewis was born near London, England. She was educated in England and Canada and received a Registered Nurse diploma from the Vancouver General Hospital School of Nursing. After enrolling at the University of British Columbia to further her education a year later and receiving a Public Health Nursing diploma with second class honors, she married soon after. While working as a nursing instructor and a doctor’s assistant, she raised three children. Life progressed for Iris until her marriage crumbled after 15 years, after which she immersed herself in full-time work as a nurse.
Iris continued to make headway in various fields, even real estate. Upon retirement, she moved to Panama for three years and dabbled in writing - she wrote and published two books on that particular adventure, wrote a novel for young adults and a children’s story which needs an illustrator, and have become an accredited facilitator to present Conscious Aging Workshops.
Iris now lives on Canada’s west coast – she’s well-positioned to deliver the workshops. She still has a calling to teach and with a healthy husband, a supportive family, manageable home and two pet cats, she hopes to achieve everything she sets her heart out to.
