Korean milk tea brand is expanding fast enough to compete major Taiwanese brands

The milk tea business is becoming extremely popular international market. For the past 10 years, Taiwanese milk tea brands dominate the market and expand their business without any competitor.

However, there are some milk tea brands competing Taiwanese brands recently and one of them is Korean milk tea brand “T BUN”.

Milk tea, sometimes called as Bubble Tea or Boba Tea, is originated from Taiwan and Taiwanese milk tea brands including “Gongcha” and “Chatime” have been popular in the market for the last decade. We can hardly see competitors from other countries and Taiwanese milk tea brands dominate the market.

However, T BUN, Korean based milk tea brand, is now expanding the business rapidly in the global market. T BUN started global expansion by opening the shop in Australia in 2017, in the Philippines in 2018. T BUN is also opening the shops in Malaysia and Kuwait soon. T BUN will open the 1st shop strategically at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and the 2nd shop at Central I-City Mall in Kuala Lumpur. The 1st shop in Kuwait will be opened in June right after Ramadan.

T BUN is currently negotiating with potential master franchisees from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka India and Nepal. T BUN hopes to close the deals soon.

It looks pretty realistic that T BUN plans to open the shops at least in 10 countries by the end of 2019 and 30 countries by the end of 2020. Their aim is to be the dominating market leader within this industry.

With its superb quality milk tea and sophisticated franchising system, cleverly developed by a group of tea masters and franchise specialists, T BUN is competing with Taiwanese brands in global market. T BUN also adds Korean specialty menus to differentiate from other Taiwanese brands. T BUN offers special milk tea, sparkling juices, smoothies by using “Korean Grape Fruit” “Korean Citron” “Korean Green Fruit” “Jeju Island Special Orange” and bakeries with “KIMCHI”. T BUN is confident that these specialties will be very attractive to the customers.
