Armed Forces Families Foundation and Taco Bell Provided Funding for the Upgrades
INDIANAPOLIS - July 1, 2016 - PRLog -- The USO of Indiana received $17,500 in donations which has been used to upgrade a heavily utilized center at the airport and provide the equipment to open a new center at the Indianapolis Military Entry Processing Site (MEPS).

Funds were donated by the Armed Forces Families Foundation, a completely volunteer organization. Funds were raised in conjunction with local Taco Bell restaurants during their annual "Freedom Bells" fundraiser in an effort to help serve those who serve us.

To celebrate the great news, and thank all those involved, a check presentation was held on Thursday, June 30th. Military members were invited to enjoy the new facilities while Taco Bell provided a limited menu to attendees.

The mission of the USO of Indiana is to strengthen America's military members by keeping them connected to family, home and country during their service to the nation. One of the ways we meet our mission is to provide a "Home Away from Home" environment in our centers. Upgrades to the Airport Center include: New wood paneling and carpet, new refrigerator, a 75" HD Flat Screen TV, gaming chairs, and more. The new Indianapolis MEPS Center received a new refrigerated cooler, two X-Box One gaming stations with games, two gaming chairs, two recliners and a 39" TV.

The Armed Forces Families Foundation and Taco Bell are proud to support the Indianapolis USO and the good work they do. "Our troops' loved ones are their first line of support. Taco Bell is proud to support our troops by supporting their families," said Thaddeus Foster, Chief Operations Officer and Taco Bell franchisee for Southeast QSR, Inc.

USO of Indiana Executive Director Charles Ridings shared his thoughts on the beneficial partnership. "The USO of Indiana prides itself on providing the warmest of environments where our service members can relax and feel connected to the people and places they love. We wouldn't be able to bring our Hoosier hospitality to our military members without great support from the Armed Forces Families Foundation," said Ridings.
