All assets and intellectual property of Burke's Peerage, established 187 years ago by John Burke, are now owned by Burke's Peerage Limited (a company registered in the Isle of Man)
PRLog - Sep 02, 2013 - DOUGLAS, U.K. -- Burke’s Peerage Limited is pleased to announce that it has completed the purchase of all the assets and all intellectual property of Burke’s Peerage and Gentry (UK) Limited and Burke’s Peerage and Gentry LLC further to agreements dated August 6th, 2013.
S.A. Malin, Managing Director of Burke’s Peerage Limited, said “This transaction, which means that Burke’s Peerage Limited now holds all of the Burke’s Peerage assets and intellectual property developed since John Burke founded Burke’s Peerage in 1826, provides not only a basis for the traditional genealogical, publishing and database businesses of Burke’s Peerage but also for the development of appropriate new products and expansion in the reach of Burke’s Peerage.”
Dr Gordon Prestoungrange, MBE, Publisher of Burke’s Peerage and Gentry (UK) Limited said “We have spent considerable effort over the past decade developing Burke’s Peerage and are confident that this process will continue under the auspices of Burke’s Peerage Limited.”
