Amid the success of the first professionally sanctioned Blaston esports league with VRML that kicked off earlier this year, Resolution Games has furthered its efforts to support Blaston's VR esports community with today's announcement of the inaugural Blaston Championship 2022. Open to all Blaston players in North America and Europe beginning August 1 and promising a prize pool valued at more than $10,000 USD, Blaston Championship is a celebration of the competitive spirit that defines Blaston's player community. Also being rolled out today is Blaston's latest update, Glow Up, in which players can be treated to an assortment of new fashion choices for player avatars and all new customization options for player loadouts with the addition of 21 unique weapon attachments.

Divided into two regional tournaments representing players in Europe and North America, players will be automatically entered into the first qualifying round of Blaston Championship 2022 simply by competing in ranked mode.

The Blaston Championship 2022 Finals will be broadcast live on Twitch on November 5 and 6, showcasing every match from the world's very best Blaston players. Glow Up Update
Available starting today, the Glow Up update gives Blasters looking to customize their arsenal access to all-new attachments for a variety of weapons including the Viper Ellipse, Raptor Ellipse, Hammer Ellipse, Vector, Nova Helix, Nova Hurricane and Lance Nade, further deepening the level of loadout customization introduced earlier this year in the game's previous update, Blaston Reloaded.
Blaston's single-biggest style update yet, Glow Up introduces two new avatars, six new avatar skins, and a new legendary version of Lyxx that players can wear into the arena. Players will also be able to visit a classic version of Greatstone Valley — an environment first introduced in last year's Quick Draw update — to engage in dramatic Western-style duels on the high plains at sundown.
