Wheels For Wishes Now Benefits Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire Through Car Donation

Wheels For Wishes joins Make-A-Wish Orange County & The Inland Empire to provide even more wishes to wish kids waiting for their wish experience.

JUNE 2024 – Wheels For Wishes is pleased to announce that they will now be benefiting Make-A-Wish kids in Orange County & the Inland Empire starting June 1st of this year 2024. Wheels for Wishes benefits Make-A-Wish chapters in various locations throughout the United States, helping grant wishes for children in their local communities who are critically ill. Benefiting the kids of Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties will further Wheels For Wishes’ mission to help every child dealing with critical illness get their ‘wish’ experience granted.

Wheels For Wishes believes that every child, no matter his or her health, deserves a chance to have a happy and fulfilling childhood. When a vehicle is donated to Wheels For Wishes, they are able to raise funds to support Make-A-Wish chapters in locations throughout the country, helping grant wishes to children who are critically-ill. A wish is an opportunity for a child to focus on something other than their medical routines, and be a kid again.

Wheels For Wishes provided the following information about their work: "Granting a child’s wish is a special and rewarding process. A wish is an opportunity for children to take a break from their medical routines and live their dreams. A wish lifts their spirits and helps them fight harder. Wheels For Wishes makes a significant impact on a child’s life by making donations to participating Make-A-Wish chapters. Donating your car to Wheels For Wishes to benefit your local Make-A-Wish chapter can help make a wish kid’s dream become a reality."

As of May 2024, based on the average cost of a wish, car donors have helped Wheels for Wishes to grant more than 13,638 wishes through $113,981,815 in funding.

For potential donors Wheels For Wishes added "In California you’ll need a signed transferable title at the time of pick up in order to donate. Please sign on the signature line 1a on the front of the title. If there are two owners listed on the title, the owner listed second would sign on line 1b. We can help with almost any title issue you may have, give us a call if you have any title questions."

“We are beyond happy to announce this new charitable collaboration with Make-A-Wish Orange County & the Inland Empire. Through this new union we will be able to extend our mission even further, to help every Make-A-Wish kid get their wish granted. Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino County car donors will now have a life changing opportunity to help make California a better place for children dealing with critical illness,” says Executive Director Loren Dorshow.
