By: Get News

On September 26 at 15:31, flight 3U3985 took off from Chengdu, bound for Bali, Indonesia, marking the official launch of Sichuan Airlines' Chengdu-Bali route. The route operates one daily round-trip flight, with the outbound journey scheduled to take 6 hours and 50 minutes and the return journey 6 hours and 45 minutes. One passenger remarked, “After spending my vacation in Bali, I can sleep on the plane and wake up in Chengdu—it’s just so convenient!”

Since the beginning of this year, Sichuan Airlines’s “Panda Route” international flight network has added new destinations including Madrid, Penang, and Athens. This not only offers a richer variety of more efficient travel options for passengers in central and western China, but also further contributes to the high-quality development of Chengdu as an international aviation hub.

Additionally, Sichuan Airlines plans to resume its direct flight service from Chengdu Tianfu International Airport to Auckland on December 7, operating flights on Thursdays and Sundays with the A350 aircraft. This resumption not only highlights Sichuan Airlines’ confidence and commitment to deepening its presence in the Oceania market, but also builds an air bridge for cultural, tourism, economic, and trade exchanges between the two regions. In the future, New Zealand travelers will be able to discover the enchanting allure of “Sichuan Ease” and immerse themselves in panda culture and Bashu heritage, while Chinese tourists can effortlessly explore Auckland’s vibrant sailing vistas.

Notably, passengers arriving in Chengdu from Auckland can enjoy convenient same-day connections to major Chinese cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Xiamen, and Lhasa. This is powered by the highly efficient transfer system co-established by Sichuan Airlines and Chengdu Tianfu International Airport. This seamless service significantly enhances the attractiveness and connectivity of Chengdu as a leading international aviation hub.

Currently, Sichuan Airlines has established over 20 overseas offices, with its “Panda Route” network spanning 5 continents. Moving forward, Sichuan Airlines will enhance flight services, further expand transit networks, and deepen global partnerships, in an effort to promote exchanges across various fields and support Sichuan’s high-level global engagement.
