Breanne Randall is publishing "The Unfortunate Side Effects of Heartbreak and Magic," a warm and witchy book that is already well-liked on TikTok. She has been through more than 500 rejections, but Randall persisted, and now she serves as an example of positivity and commitment to others. Her book, which Alcove Press will release on September 19, and has garnered interest from film production companies.

After ten years and over five hundred rejections, debut author Breanne Randall finally sees the fruit of her labor. After writing four books over the course of a decade, she was thrilled when she finally received an offer of representation for what will now be her first published novel. The Unfortunate Side Effects of Heartbreak and Magic is pitched as a warm, and witchy Gilmore Girls meets Practical Magic book that has already garnered quite a bit of attention.

Several of Breanne’s videos have gone viral on TikTok, and her novel became a Barnes and Noble best-seller on the second day of its preorder release. Breanne has also shared that several NYT Bestselling authors will provide blurbs for her book. And though she celebrates every victory, the path has been strewn with doubt, fear, and imposter syndrome.

Despite the rejection, she wasn’t deterred from pursuing her goal of sharing her words with the world. She is the ultimate example of a positive attitude personified and has shared that the inspiration behind her debut leads back to her late grandmother. “They say to write what you want to read, and this became the book of my heart and a way to process my grief after my grandmother passed away,” Randall stated. “When I finally let go and trusted the process, that was when the doors started opening.” And now, Randall will get to introduce readers to her magical world set in the idyllic town of Poppy Meadows, which happens to be inspired by her hometown in Northern California.

Breanne's debut novel will be published by Alcove Press and distributed by Penguin Random House on September 19th. The book has sparked interest from film studios, and the audiobook rights have been auctioned off. It has received over 500 preorders even before its release, and her goal is to debut on the New York Times best-seller list. “I know it might seem outlandish as a debut author, but writers have a way of dreaming of the impossible because it’s those dreams that bring worlds to life,” Randall shared.

Though rejected time and again, Randall never gave up on her dream. She kept writing and honing her craft, and her efforts finally paid off. Her book has resonated with readers and amassed a following on TikTok, propelling it to best-seller status. Randall’s success is motivational and, hopefully, just the beginning of her story.

Randall’s path demonstrates that persistence and hard work pay off in the end. She exemplifies how rejection does not have to define one's success and how having a positive attitude and believing in oneself can lead to great accomplishments. Her book demonstrates her dedication to her craft and love of storytelling, and we can’t wait to see what her future holds.
