Netsmart and the Oregon Council for Behavioral Health (OCBH), a statewide nonprofit association dedicated to ensuring access to quality treatment and care, announced a new program aimed at enhancing behavioral health services through innovative technology across Oregon. Through the OCBH Preferred Partners Program, members can leverage more than 60 solutions and services from the Netsmart CareFabric® platform, supporting their organization in efforts to deliver more efficient, effective and outcomes-driven care.
This initiative aligns with OCBH’s vision to equip providers across the state with the right technology to support the delivery of high-quality care. The Netsmart behavioral health solutions facilitate integrated care by driving collaboration across care settings, including, community mental health centers (CMHCs), Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs), health homes, accountable care organizations (ACOs), as well as incorporating social determinants of health (SDoH).
The Netsmart Meaningful AI strategy aims to equip providers with a unified platform integrated with augmented intelligence (AI) and automation solutions to empower staff, optimize processes and simplify reimbursement, all while enabling organizations to leverage these tools across their enterprise. Bells, an AI-powered clinical coach that enhances and streamlines documentation with advanced features like ambient listening, near real-time transcription, suggested note generation and quality assurance, aims to reduce administrative burdens and enable healthcare providers to focus more on delivering high-quality patient care. Additional solutions in the growing AI portfolio include, AlphaCollector™, which uses robotic process automation (RPA) and its digital sidekick Benny to help collections staff engage clients at the right time, aiming to reduce collector actions to payment and create a faster, more efficient billing process.
The proven solutions and certified healthcare IT provided by Netsmart are now positioned as the preferred technology offerings for more than 70 OCBH members committed to enhancing care coordination, value-based care and improved patient outcomes.
“We are thrilled to add Netsmart as a Platinum Partner, as they have been a leading advocate for integrating physical health with mental health and substance use treatment services for many years,” said Heather Jefferis, Executive Director of the Oregon Council for Behavioral Health. “This collaboration reinforces our mission to support providers in delivering impactful, person-centered care especially during a time when technology-enabled solutions are key to meeting community needs.”
Netsmart recently supported and sponsored the Oregon Council for Behavioral Health Day at the Capitol in Salem, highlighting its dedication to advocacy and collaboration with state leaders to foster a more resilient behavioral health ecosystem.
“Supporting OCBH’s providers through this program reflects our commitment to delivering innovative technology and fostering collaboration that helps drive real results,” said Kevin Mallot, SVP & Managing Director of Human Services, Netsmart. “Our shared mission for advocacy makes this collaboration a natural fit. Together, we can address barriers to treatment for those with addiction and mental health challenges, while continuing to work toward expanding access to care. We look forward to supporting OCBH’s efforts to deliver more integrated, value-based care to the individuals and families in their communities.”
As healthcare rapidly evolves, AI remains a key focus for community-based care organizations. This collaboration highlights the importance of technology and innovation in advancing behavioral healthcare. By leveraging an integrated, enterprise-wide AI strategy, we aim to support the capabilities of staff and clinicians, helping them drive better outcomes. The Netsmart AI and automation suite of solutions is designed to improve clinical outcomes, streamline workflows and reduce administrative burdens.
By working together, OCBH and Netsmart aim to support providers in delivering more coordinated, value-based care that meets the evolving needs of their communities. This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to improving access, efficiency and the quality of behavioral health services across Oregon.
