TSG Advocates, the new federal lobbying arm of The Southern Group, is proud to announce a major expansion of its presence in Washington with the addition of three powerhouse hires: Brian Darling, Beau Rothschild, and Kaitlyn Roberts. Together, the trio brings deep-rooted experience and connections across three influential pillars of the federal government—the U.S. Senate, the House of Representatives, and the White House—and offers clients expertise and access within both Congress and the Trump administration.
This “trifecta of influence” underscores TSG Advocates’ continued growth as a premier federal lobbying practice and reinforces its mission to deliver unparalleled access and results for clients navigating a shifting political landscape.
Proven Talent with Relationships that Matter
Brian Darling joins the firm with extensive experience in the United States Senate, having served as a senior aide to five Senators. He brings decades of legislative, communications, and advocacy expertise, with a background that includes senior counsel roles on the Senate Judiciary Committee, a tenure at The Heritage Foundation, and frequent media appearances ensuring the conservative voice was reflected in policy discussions. His experience spans work with government contractors, e-commerce companies, property management, and big tech clients, making him a sought after and respected advisor across multiple industries.
“Brian served me both as Counsel and Sr. Communications Director during a very active time in the Senate. He is unique in the lobbying world because he brings high-level expertise in both public relations and policy, and occupies the growing ideological ranks of liberty-oriented Republicans. Brian will thrive in his new role and will provide a unique skill set to TSG Advocates,” stated Rand Paul, U.S. Senator for Kentucky.
Beau Rothschild brings more than 20 years of experience in lobbying, government affairs, and political strategy. He launched his career in the Texas Legislature and later served in top roles in the U.S. House of Representatives, including Chief of Staff to Congressman Blake Farenthold and Member Outreach Director for the House Administration Committee. Beau’s deep understanding of House operations led him to create many programs and processes that are still used within the House Administration Handbook today. After making his mark in the House, Beau transitioned to the lobbying arena where he has advised Fortune 100 companies, start-ups, and nonprofits on federal policy, regulatory issues, and international trade. His deep roots in Texas politics and strong D.C. relationships uniquely position him to bridge federal and state strategies for clients.
“Beau Rothschild served as Chief of Staff to our legislative office with outstanding professionalism, political acumen, and unwavering commitment to public service. He was instrumental in managing the day-to-day operations of the office, overseeing policy development, stakeholder engagement, and legislative strategy. Beau brought clarity and structure to complex issues, maintained strong relationships with constituents and colleagues, and ensured that our office operated efficiently and effectively. His integrity, discretion, and leadership were invaluable, and I have no doubt he will be an asset to any organization he joins,” stated Allen Fletcher, State Representative, Texas House District 130 (Ret.)
Rounding out the triad is Kaitlyn Roberts, who brings nearly a decade of experience in federal policy and strategic communications, including key roles in both the first Trump administration, and recent Biden administration. A Harvard graduate, she offers deep insight into executive branch processes, interagency coordination, and presidential actions. Most recently, Kaitlyn served as a corporate advisor at Aramco’s Washington office, where she bridged policy and public affairs across a global enterprise. Driven by a fascination with the intersection of business and politics, she sees TSG Advocates as a natural fit to continue delivering meaningful results in a fast-paced policy environment.
These new hires come on the heels of TSG Advocate’s recent announcement that Ben Watson has joined the firm. Previously the state director for the Robert F. Kennedy Jr. presidential campaign, Ben brings extensive strategic communications and public affairs experience to the TSG Advocates team.
“These new hires bring a new level of talent and connections to our firm - and that will be game-changing for our clients,” stated Chase Kroll, founding member of TSG Advocates. “Collectively, we offer a rare combination of real-time insight and access across the entire federal ecosystem at a time when relationships and timing matter more than ever.”
Positioned for the Moment—and the Future
With these key additions, TSG Advocates continues to expand its capacity to serve clients across sectors, from emerging tech to international trade, and from regulatory affairs to political strategy. As The Southern Group’s federal practice, TSG Advocates brings the same high-touch, client-first approach that has defined the firm’s reputation for more than two decades in the Southeast.
“Our clients need a federal partner who can see around corners and deliver when it counts,” said Rachel Cone, The Southern Group’s Senior Managing Partner. “With Brian, Beau, Kaitlyn, and Benjamin on board, we’re building the kind of team that not only understands D.C.—they shape it.”
