Unified Women’s Healthcare’s Affiliates Elevate Menopause Care as Key Component to Closing the Midlife Care Gap

More than 1.5 million women over age 40 cared for by national network of affiliated providers, offering a unique lens into menopause care delivery and what’s working at scale.

Unified Women’s Healthcare (Unified), through its affiliated physicians, is setting the standard for how women receive menopause treatment. Through a combination of in-person visits and Unified’s telehealth-first menopause platform, Gennev, patients experiencing menopause symptoms, such as reduced energy, cognitive shifts, hot flashes and sleep disruption, receive the care they need at a rate 20% higher than the national average.

“We are seeing a real shift in how menopause care is being prioritized and delivered,” said Dr. Elizabeth Cherot, Chief Medical Officer, Unified Women’s Healthcare. “By integrating evidence-based clinical care with virtual access, we’re closing gaps that have existed for far too long—ensuring more women receive the support they need, when and how they need it.”

Serving more than 1.5 million patients over the age of 40, a stage when many women start experiencing menopause-related changes, Unified’s affiliated physicians are addressing the growing need through increased access to evidence-based care spanning nutrition, mental health, sexual wellness, and hormone management. More than 82% of clinicians in the Unified network treat at least one patient per week for menopause symptoms.

“Women in their midlife have gone unseen and underserved for far too long,” said Harriet Booker, President, Unified Women's Healthcare OBGYN MSO. “The data proves that when you meet women where they are, with access, education, and comprehensive care, they get better outcomes and stay connected to that care.”

In recognition of National Menopause Awareness Month, the 2025 Menopause Society Annual Meeting themed “Optimizing Health and Longevity at Menopause and Beyond,” will be held Oct. 21–25, in Orlando, Fla. Unified will be an active voice in the important conversations taking place and welcomes visitors to booth #519, where Unified will be showcasing how its affiliated providers, through their integrated affiliated care ecosystem, are helping shape the future of menopause and midlife women’s care, ensuring women have access to the care they need and deserve.

“Menopause is not a one-size-fits-all experience and so caring for women shouldn’t be either,” said Dr. Rebecca Dunsmoor-Su, Chief Medical Officer at Gennev. “We’re providing accessible, personalized care at scale, something that simply wasn’t possible a few years ago. Most referrals are by word-of-mouth from a friend or colleague, which speaks volumes about the trust we’ve built and the care gap we’re filling.”

Unified and its affiliated providers are leading the way in closing the menopause care gap. This innovative, personalized care approach is improving patient outcomes, increasing access at scale, and making quality healthcare for woman, at all stages of life, more accessible than ever before.
