Denny’s Marina, founded in 1972 in Peru, IN and owned by brothers Dan and Greg Decker, is a family-owned and operated boating dealership, serving as an authorized dealer of Crownline, Lund, and Bennington. Denny’s Marina offers new and pre-owned boats, parts and accessories, finance and insurance products, maintenance and repair services, and ancillary services such as boat storage. Denny’s Marina had been owned by the Decker family for over 38 years with the Decker brothers having owned and operated the dealership for the past 17 years.

Dan Decker, co-owner and President, stated: “My family purchased Denny’s Marina in 1986, and Greg and I have taken great pride in being a trusted outlet for all of Indianapolis’ boating needs over the years. We are pleased to see the legacy of Denny’s Marina continue on under the umbrella of Reeder Trausch Marine whose owners share the same values and common vision of being the boat dealership of choice in the greater Indianapolis area.”

Reeder Trausch Marine is owned by J Hurless and Monty Anderson, long-time friends and former high school classmates that began their professional journey together at Ray Skillman Auto Center. Their partnership flourished as they ventured into business, acquiring Reeder-Trausch Marine. Hurless excelled in sales while Anderson focused on servicing boats, transforming the dealership from a modest operation into a thriving enterprise.

Jeff Hunt, Senior Managing Director at Skyway Capital, commented: “This transaction demonstrates Skyway Capital’s ability to drive value to the owners of multigenerational companies regardless of the industry. It was a pleasure working with Dan and Greg towards the successful sale of this treasured Indianapolis boat dealership.”
