The 6-foot-5 junior from Ans, Liege, Belgium, is featured in Intel’s spring upgrade campaign with Newegg. The co-marketing campaign, which runs through March 30 and is timed for the March college basketball tournaments, shows PC users how to use Intel Core 14th Gen processors to improve their computers’ performance.

Mitchell is showcased in the NIL co-marketing campaign’s social media content and on the Newegg homepage to excite users about the benefits of Intel and Newegg.

Averaging 20 points and 4 assists per game, both team highs, Mitchell recently completed his third season with the Gauchos and was named to the 2024 All-Big West First Team. Before the 2023-24 season, he was already establishing an outstanding reputation from the oceanside community after being named the 2023 Big West Player of the Year, 2023 Big West Championships MVP and 2022 Big West Freshman of the Year.

His high-quality output on the basketball court is similar to what users experience when using an Intel® Core™ 14th Gen processor in a desktop PC or laptop from Newegg. Mitchell is featured in the spring upgrade campaign for Intel and Newegg to showcase the benefits of using an Intel CPU.

The French-fluent Mitchell also achieves high standards in academics. He was named to the 2023 Big West All-Academic Men’s Basketball Team.

“In basketball, in class and while gaming, I’m trying to get the most out of my efforts,” said Mitchell. “Intel Core processors deliver great results for gamers, creators and students, like me. As an athlete, I have to make quick decisions and movements while generating great performances, which is similar to what Intel Core 14th Gen processors generate in laptops and desktop computers. Newegg is a great shopping destination to find a wide assortment of Intel Core processors.”

The left-handed Belgian basketball player has been praised for his shooting, passing, ball control, court awareness and ability to generate steals on defense. He continually thrills UCSB fans inside The Thunderdome, the university’s arena, when his jump shots splash into the net.

“From Antwerp to Isla Vista, basketball fans have been excited while watching Ajay Mitchell excel on the basketball court,” said Eric Wein, Director of Public Relations for Newegg. “A student-athlete who also achieves high marks in academics, Mitchell is a great representation for Intel’s spring upgrade campaign with Newegg.”

This campaign marks Newegg’s third consecutive March featuring an NCAA basketball player in an NIL campaign before the college basketball tournaments.
