DEFCON AI, an insights company that’s building next-generation modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) toolsets for multimodal transportation, logistics, and the modern military environment, today announced that the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) deemed DEFCON AI’s ARTIV™ as “awardable” on the Open Data and Applications Government-owned Interoperable Repositories (Open DAGIR), Global Information Dominance Experiments (GIDE) Industry Challenge #1: Contested Logistics and Sustainment.
CDAO, which is responsible for accelerating the DoD’s adoption of data, analytics, and AI, partnered with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense Research and Engineering’s (USD(R&E)) Joint Fires Network and the Defense Innovation Unit to host the GIDE Contested Logistics Challenge. The experiment, which solicited 5-minute video pitches from interested vendors, is designed to address a lack of live data in modes of transportation and transportation nodes, match resources to requirements, and assess risk. DEFCON AI submitted a video proposal summarizing the delivery of ARTIV-Air Mobility and the development of an ARTIV-Multi-Modal prototype, focusing on logistics network risk mitigation through resilient planning. DEFCON AI’s ARTIV is a cloud-native tool that enables planners to train under various real-world scenarios so they can minimize interruptions and ensure the rapid mobilization of resources. Among its notable features is a Resiliency Setting where an intelligent Red Agent looks for vulnerabilities in plans that could be exploited by adversaries. This approach allows planners to strategize and optimize responses to potential disruptions and quickly develop resilient plans.
This marks the second time DEFCON AI has earned the “awardable” rating via the Tradewinds Marketplace, CDAO’s digital environment of post-competition video pitches. In October 2024, ARTIV was also selected as “awardable” and made available for government customers to view and select. The video solutions housed within the marketplace have been assessed through competitive procedures that conform to the competition requirements established by the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation.
“The key to sustaining our forces throughout the world is ensuring that their networks are resilient against disruptions,” said Yisroel Brumer, DEFCON AI’s Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “By allowing planners to test and optimize operational logistics and transportation concepts under a myriad of real-world scenarios, ARTIV helps planners plan for and circumvent logistical complexities to achieve warfighter campaign objectives. We’re honored to receive our second ‘awardable’ rating, which expands our reach and gets ARTIV in the hands of more planners so they can effectively minimize disruptions and ensure the steady mobilization of critical resources for our warfighters.”
