NationSwell Collaboratives, an initiative that connects committed actors across sectors and resources for scaled action, was recognized by Fast Company in two categories for laying the foundation for the Future of Work.
NationSwell’s Collaboratives, a new model for scaled impact that unites the largest corporations, philanthropies and advocacy groups to accelerate and scale their impact, was honored twice on Tuesday in Fast Company’s 2023 World Changing Ideas Awards — as a finalist in the Workplace category and as an honoree in the Small Business category.
“Our Collaboratives drive mobilization, funding and problem-solving across sectors — with a collection of initiatives anchored in intersectionality, replicability and scale,” NationSwell President Uyen Tieu said. “We are honored to receive this award alongside our community.”
Through NationSwell Collaboratives, the organization brings together committed partners with extraordinary resources and capabilities, connecting them across sectors to tackle some of the world’s most urgent problems. The Future of Work Collaboratives honored by Fast Company seek to create a more equitable, sustainable and human future for the ever-evolving workplace, its workers and its leaders.
“Social impact at scale rarely happens overnight,” NationSwell Chief Strategy Officer Amy Lee, who has stewarded the evolution of Collaboratives, said. “Years of everyday decisions made by organizational leaders operating incrementally and independently reach a certain threshold — and can get stuck, often due to lack of capacity and broader insight. Our Collaboratives take the baton at that point of impasse, help identify shared opportunities and create the space for collective action to break through.”
NationSwell will celebrate the World Changing Ideas Awards honor at this year’s NationSwell Summit, an annual convening of sustainability, ESG, and philanthropy leaders whose work is advancing economic, social and environmental progress. The NationSwell Summit will be held on Thursday in New York City; the theme this year is “Better and Bolder.”
