Interim HealthCare Inc. Names 2023 Therapist and Paraprofessional of the Year

Interim HealthCare Inc., the nation’s leading franchise network of home care, senior care, home health, hospice, and medical staffing services, today announced the recipients of its 2023 Therapist and Paraprofessional of the Year awards.

Kacey Cattoor of Topeka, Kansas was named the 2023 Paraprofessional of the Year. Now in its 24th year, the recipient of this award represents Interim HealthCare’s core qualities: honor, experience, ability, reliability, and training. Cattoor was nominated for her dedication to her hospice patients and veterans through Interim HealthCare of Topeka’s We Honor Veterans program. Participating in special trainings to develop her knowledge of veterans’ issues, Cattoor has enabled the team to honor 73 veterans with pinning ceremonies, educate nearly 300 clinicians and community members through presentations, and partner with 18 veteran groups across the company’s service territory.

“Many of our patients and their families know and remember Kacey for her compassionate care and the respect she ensures all of our veterans receive at the end of life through our pinning ceremonies and veteran honors,” said Jill Harrison, owner of Interim HealthCare of Topeka. “Kasey has truly impacted the lives of not only those we serve, but also the Interim HealthCare team by ensuring everyone feels loved and cared for as they work alongside her in the hospice department.”

Elise Suchocki of Hartford, Connecticut was named the 2023 Therapist of the Year. The award, now in its 16th year, recognizes physical, occupational and speech therapists, as well as PTAs and OTAs who embody Interim HealthCare’s vision of improving people’s lives each day.

Suchocki has been with Interim HealthCare for 28 years and has created a lasting mark on her patients and colleagues. She sees the big picture for her patients, consistently advocating for their involvement in programs that could benefit them while serving as a go-to for other clinicians about what really matters to patients. Suchocki also brings ingenuity to her job, such as making custom masks with a plastic shield during the pandemic to allow deaf and hard of hearing patients to read lips during sessions and then distributing them to local groups in the community that would benefit.

“Elise is the most positive therapist we have ever had,” said Paul Pisano, CEO of Interim HealthCare of Hartford. “She never lets anything get in the way of providing the best patient care possible despite the challenges thrown her way this year. Elise exemplifies what it means to be a compassionate caregiver, treating all of her patients as the whole person they truly are.”

Interim HealthCare is honored to recognize Kacey Cattoor and Elise Suchocki for their important contributions to the company. To learn more about how you can make a difference with a career in home healthcare, please visit https://www.interimhealthcare.com/careers.
