Teton Ridge Appoints Deirdre Lester as Chief Executive Officer

Ms. Lester will oversee Teton Ridge’s portfolio of Western-focused assets in Sports, Media, Entertainment, Lifestyle, and Equine

She joins Teton Ridge following three decades of leadership positions at companies including Barstool Sports, Major League Baseball and Outsider

Teton Ridge, the first omnichannel company comprised of a portfolio of brands focused on multiple facets of the American West, today announced that Deirdre Lester has been named Chief Executive Officer.

“Teton Ridge’s vision of weaving together these assets—all of which are rooted in the culture and community of the American West—under one overarching brand has impressed me from the start and has the potential to not only celebrate legacy stories and traditions, but reframe them for future generations on a much wider, global scale,” said Deirdre Lester, Chief Executive Officer of Teton Ridge. “I look forward to building on the foundation already in place and leveraging my expertise to grow this exciting platform.”

Prior to joining Teton Ridge, Ms. Lester was the Chief Executive Officer of Outsider, a lifestyle and media company that celebrates the American outdoors. She joined Outsider from Barstools Sports where she served as Chief Revenue Officer and scaled revenue exponentially, playing an instrumental role in the company’s rise by developing large scale partnerships across advertising, sponsorship and licensing. During her tenure, she helped launch and build Barstool Sports’ Pink Whitney Vodka brand with E & J Gallo Winery, the leading flavored vodka brand in North America, and The Barstool Classic, the consistently sold out multi-city golf tournament series in the U.S, among many other commercially driven accomplishments. Before joining Barstool Sports, Ms. Lester held senior leadership positions at Major League Baseball, ESPN and Yahoo! Sports. In 2016, she was named one of Forbes’ 25 Most Powerful Women in Sports.

“Attracting someone of Deirdre’s caliber speaks directly to the strength and potential of the Teton Ridge platform,” said Ezra Kucharz, President of Tull Investments. “The combination of her entrepreneurial, media and partnership experience over nearly three decades make her the perfect executive to take Teton Ridge forward. We could not be more thrilled to have her onboard.”

Investors in Teton Ridge include Thomas Tull, Guggenheim Partners, Jim Breyer and the Lee Bass Family Office.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Jillian Share, formerly President of Production at eOne, had been named President of Teton Ridge Entertainment, a division of Teton Ridge.
