Anzu Partners Welcomes Donald Rosenberg as Venture Partner

Anzu Partners, an investment firm that focuses on early stage industrial and life science technology companies, today announced that Donald (Don) J. Rosenberg is joining the firm as a venture partner. In this role, Rosenberg will work with portfolio companies as they develop their intellectual property strategies and more broadly support the next generation of transformative technology companies.

Don Rosenberg has extensive leadership experience at today’s most innovative technology companies. He recently retired as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Qualcomm where he was responsible for overseeing its worldwide legal matters, its global government affairs organization, and the corporate compliance function. During his 14-year tenure at Qualcomm, Rosenberg played a key role in shaping and executing the company’s strategic direction and policy initiatives; regularly engaging with governments throughout the world. Before joining Qualcomm, Rosenberg served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Apple (NASDQ: AAPL) and prior to that, he was Senior Vice President and General Counsel at IBM (NASDQ: IBM). Currently, Rosenberg serves as a Fellow in Residence at the Center on Global Transformation in University of California San Diego’s (USCD) School of Global Policy and Strategy, where he focuses on innovation policy.

“We’re honored to have Don Rosenberg join Anzu as a venture partner and are excited about how he and his network can help Anzu and our portfolio companies grow,” said David Michael, managing partner at Anzu Partners. “He has an impressive background in both technology and foreign policy that we hope to leverage as our portfolio companies further develop their technology and build relationships in new global markets.”

In addition to his professional roles, Rosenberg is actively engaged with several organizations to shape and advise on foreign policy. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the International Advisory Board at UCSD School of Global Policy and Strategy, the China Leadership Board for the 21st Century China Center at UCSD, and the Working Group on Semiconductors and the Security of the United States and Taiwan. Previously, Rosenberg served as an adjunct professor at New York's Pace University School of Law, where he taught courses in intellectual property and antitrust law. He also sits on the board of several non-profit organizations, including Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego and Rady Children’s Genomic Institute.

“Anzu is investing in industries and teams with incredible potential, and I am looking forward to supporting them on this journey,” said Don Rosenberg. “The Anzu team is made up of many bright minds and technical experts who I am eager to work alongside to help the portfolio companies establish strong foundations, grow, and bring their innovations to market on a global scale.”
