U.S. News & World Report Names Belmont Village Senior Living’s Glenview, Illinois and Westwood, California Communities in the Top 25 of the 2022-23 Senior Living Category

Belmont Village Senior Living’s Glenview, Illinois and Westwood, California communities have been recognized by U.S. News & World Report among the top 25 in their 2022-23 inaugural “Best in Senior Living” survey, where residents and family members rated their respective communities in the criteria of best in Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. In the final rankings and after thorough consideration, Belmont Village’s Glenview and Westwood communities ranked in positions four and five, respectively – a tremendous honor on both the national and local stage.

U.S. News and World Report’s ranking, ratings and data offering was launched to help consumers identify high-quality senior living and care options, surveying consumers’ experience in categories such as community, quality of activities, caregiving, food and dining, as well as community leadership and front-line staff. The initial survey included more than 3,000 communities and 80 operators, reflecting the viewpoints of over 200,000 senior housing residents and family members nationwide.

In addition to the Top 25 distinctions, most Belmont Village communities were also recognized by U.S. News & World Report in one or more categories as “Best in Senior Living.” In response, Patricia Will, Founder & CEO of Belmont Village Senior Living, commented, “We are delighted that U.S. News ranked our Glenview and Westwood communities so highly and included the vast majority of all Belmont Village communities in the final rankings, reflecting our company’s commitment to the highest standards of quality care, programming, and amenities. The real satisfaction comes from knowing that our residents and their families are truly enjoying their experience at Belmont Village, from the personalized care, socialization, and wellness programs that they receive on a daily basis to the communities themselves, which feel like home. This esteemed distinction would be impossible without the amazing, qualified, and experienced leadership team at each community. Undoubtedly, their direction and influence on our staff are integral to the resident experience.”

In the Belmont Village Glenview survey, residents and their families gave the highest marks in the three categories of independent living, assisted living, and memory care, including excellent life-enrichment activities; friendliest, responsive management and staff; extreme safety; excellent quality caregiving; skilled and knowledgeable licensed nursing staff that respects resident and family wishes, and much more. Likewise, the Belmont Village Westwood survey results highlighted residents’ perception of the community, including excellent and responsive staff; prompt and skilled caregiving; high-quality food and variety of meals; variety of high-quality enrichment activities; “feels like home,” among many others.

“Until now, families have had limited information when comparing providers of independent living, assisted living, memory care, or continuing care,” said Ben Harder, Managing Editor and Chief of Health Analysis at U.S. News. “The Best Senior Living ratings fill this informational gap with comprehensive and transparent data to help older consumers and their families identify high-quality senior living communities that meet their needs and preferences.”

“U.S. News reviews have always been highly respected for their thorough methods and clear analysis. Families will find these reviews helpful when making critically important decisions about senior living and care. We are excited to continue to transform the senior living and care industry and remain a leading choice for residents looking to thrive in their later years,” added Patricia Will.
