Quickbase Names Dalan Winbush as New CIO Focused on Data-Driven Business Transformation

Winbush joins leadership team to propel operational excellence during next stage of growth

Quickbase, the no-code platform for complex project portfolios, today announced Dalan Winbush as its new CIO. Unlike traditional CIOs that focus solely on strategy and operations, Winbush will act as an agent of business transformation, building a more data-driven enterprise that better serves both customers and employees. Winbush has more than 20 years of experience in IT, leading technology and process transformations to support company growth, as well as experience bringing no-code platforms – including Quickbase – into the folds of his organization.

“I believe true transformation doesn’t start with tech, it starts with people. Then you layer in technology and IT support to the reimagining of projects and the way we work,” said Winbush. “I’ve always been passionate about democratizing IT and technology to put the tools in the business users’ hands – with governance and security top of mind – so when the opportunity to join one of the leading no-code platforms came up, I didn’t hesitate to join the team.”

Most recently, Dalan was vice president of IT at Comcast, where he led and managed the selection and implementation of enterprise tools to transform the employee experience, as well as deploying technology to drive a consistent digital approach to traditionally analog processes. Prior to Comcast, he held various leadership roles at Elevations Credit Union, Ping Identity, Western Union, as well as 10 years at NICE Systems. Outside of work, Winbush sits on the board of several nonprofit organizations, including First Tee of Denver, Von Vision and the CIS & CS Advisory Board at the University of Colorado.

Winbush’s passion for empowering employees to solve their most complex work problems with IT oversight has given him ample experience in no-code and collaborative work; now he gets to take that experience and help other organizations – like the one he came from – do the same.

"Technology in a silo can't manage the complexity of the way we work today. You need to consider the impacts on all the different people, processes and data involved in your programs, not to mention all the decisions that need to be made," said Ed Jennings, CEO of Quickbase. “Quickbase is at a critical stage of growth, and Dalan's transformational CIO role will help us be more thoughtful about how we bring technology and processes together to make better decisions and ultimately create better customer experiences."

Quickbase is seeing incredible demand for its platform and strong momentum going into the end of the year, as seen in recent announcements including an extensive partnership with Procore Technologies, bolstered enterprise solutions, expanded real estate solutions offerings and being named a strong performer in collaborative work management tools. Accelerating growth requires operational excellence to ensure strong employee and customer experiences. Winbush takes on this challenge by using data, technology and process improvement to unlock new opportunities and better ways to serve Quickbase’s 700+ employees and 6,000+ customers worldwide.
