Vocera Introduces Environmental, Social, and Governance Framework

New ESG framework focuses on people, products, and operations

Vocera Communications, Inc. (NYSE:VCRA), a recognized leader in clinical communication and workflow solutions, introduced its first Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Framework. The newly published framework provides insight into the company’s progress and plans for addressing a range of corporate responsibility and sustainability topics. It also summarizes the company’s performance in 2020 across three key areas related to people, products, and operations.

“We are proud to publish our first ESG Framework and share the strides we have made so far along with our plans for making an even bigger impact in the future,” Brent Lang, chairman and CEO of Vocera said. “Our aim is to be transparent throughout our responsibility and sustainability journey and will publish an update each year showing our ESG progress.”

Among the highlights included in the initial framework are results related to the company’s efforts to engage and manage a talented global workforce at Vocera, which has offices in the United States, Canada, Australia, India, the Middle East, and the United Kingdom. For example, in FY20, Vocera retained 90% of its employees, better than the technology industry standard. Additionally, results from the company’s quarterly employee pulse surveys were better than the industry benchmark. In 2021, the company plans to expand its employee well-being programs and elevate diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

More information about how Vocera is making a sustainable impact on people, products and operations can be found in the company’s recently published ESG Framework located at www.vocera.com/environmental-social-governance or by emailing ESG@vocera.com.
