Marquis Who's Who Honors Dennis Clay Parker for Expertise in Industrial Minerals

UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / September 29, 2025 / Marquis Who's Who proudly recognizes Dennis Clay Parker for his leadership and expertise in industrial minerals, mineral processing, and their diverse applications. As the founder and owner of Fox Creek Consulting LLC, Mr. Parker provides guidance, solutions, and strategic advice to nonprofits and mineral companies, drawing upon more than four decades of experience in geology and mineralogy.

Training for an Eventful Career
Mr. Parker began his academic foundation in geology at Indiana University, Bloomington, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in geology in 1977. He further strengthened his knowledge by completing graduate-level coursework.

In 1978, he became a certified quality control engineer, equipping him with critical insights that informed his future leadership roles. His career began at Lowe's Southern Clay, a cat litter mining company, where he served as director of quality control and new product development under the mentorship of Ed Lowe, the inventor of Kitty Litter.

From 1981 to 1996, he gained wide-ranging experience at WR Grace, Davison Division, and ITC Inc., both in Baltimore, Maryland. He traveled the world selling a wide variety of minerals to many industrial applications. In 1996, Mr. Parker organized an investor group to acquire ITC Inc., renaming it Active Minerals International (AMI). As president, he guided AMI through multiple acquisitions of clay mining companies, applying his deep expertise in geology and mineral applications to expand product development and open new markets.

Following his retirement to Teton County, Wyoming, in 2021, Mr. Parker founded Fox Creek Consulting LLC, continuing to impact the industrial minerals sector as a consultant.

Inventions and Innovations
In addition to his executive leadership and consulting work, Mr. Parker is also an inventor with 12 patents, plus one patent pending. His most recent project centers on a groundbreaking, environmentally friendly energy storage system.

This system uses iron ore slurried in water, which is elevated and released through a generator to create electricity. The slurry is then re-pumped by solar, wind, or conventional energy sources to the elevated tank, effectively recharging the system.

Unlike lithium-ion batteries, which carry risks of fire and toxic emissions, Mr. Parker's system relies only on water and minerals, making it a green, hazard-free solution. With the potential to last over 50 years, these towers are especially promising for rural and suburban areas, balancing energy demands while providing emergency backup power.

Looking Ahead
Today, Mr. Parker continues to invest in the industry as a partner in Fall Line Minerals, which produces cat litter and metakaolin in Georgia. Simultaneously, his consulting firm thrives as he shares his extensive expertise with others. He is currently pursuing final approval for his energy storage system patent and intends to establish an organization to promote and implement this technology globally.

Mr. Parker credits much of his success to the unwavering support of his wife, an artist who has created a strong and stable home for their family. He also attributes his effective leadership to the professional training he received over the years, which enabled him to motivate teams and foster positive work environments.
