About Ms. Wayman

Ms. Wayman's career is marked by significant achievements in the military, a field where women, especially those with a family, are not often recognized. Her dedication enabled her to advance through the ranks to a pinnacle in her 40-year career with the U.S. Army, spanning from 1984 to 2024. A notable part of her military service includes her induction into the U.S. Army Women's Foundation Hall of Fame in 2020, while still on active duty, an honor typically reserved for retirees. Upon her retirement in 2024, she received the Distinguished Service Medal for exceptionally meritorious service to the government while working in duties of greater responsibility.

A strong believer in mentorship and leadership development, Ms. Wayman's commitment to guiding others emerged from her military background. In the past, she consistently sought opportunities to mentor soldiers and help people recognize their own self-worth and potential.

In 2015, Ms. Wayman reached a significant milestone, becoming the first official Command Chief Warrant Officer for the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). As the INSCOM Command Chief Warrant Officer, she was often sought out for advice, even by those not directly under her command. She created a natural network of mentoring sessions wherever she traveled. Throughout her career, Ms. Wayman has also taken pride in identifying and recommending 34 individuals to become warrant officers, with every one of her recommendations leading to a successful selection. Both Ms. Wayman and her husband served. Subsequently, their two children followed in their parents' footsteps, enlisting in the Army. Ms. Wayman and both of their children were deployed together multiple times in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Born into a farm family, Ms. Wayman attributes her successes to her determination, the strong work ethic her father instilled in her and a consistent belief in herself, even when others had doubts. This self-belief, she emphasizes, is the key to inspiring others.

Educationally, Ms. Wayman holds an associate degree from Excelsior University and earned a certification in Executive Influence from LinkedIn in 2024. She is also a member of various organizations, such as the U.S. Army Women's Foundation, the 1918 Society and the Association of the U.S. Army. In addition to her other awards and distinctions, she is also the recipient of the Knowlton Award, the Lifetime Achievement Award for the US Army Military Intelligence Corps.

Using Her Military Experience to Create a New Career Path

Prior to retiring from the military, Ms. Wayman founded Whiskey Squared LLC in May 2024. Her new enterprise has two main components. The first is subcontracting support for analysis, training and operations within the Department of Defense, the U.S. intelligence community and law enforcement, drawing on her extensive military experience. The second part, and a growing area of focus for her, is her work as a public speaker.

Looking ahead, Ms. Wayman plans to focus on the public speaking aspect of her business. Her goal is to mentor, teach and coach individuals of all ages and backgrounds, helping them recognize their own value and develop self-confidence. She aims to help people understand that the most important person in their life is the one they see in the mirror every day and that self-belief is the foundation for every other achievement in a person's life. Beyond her career, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her children and grandchildren and occasionally going on fishing or hunting expeditions.
