Item 8.01. Other Events.
XL Capital Ltd (the "Company") has received a grand jury subpoena from the
U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York as part of an
investigation into certain finite risk insurance products. The Company intends
to cooperate fully with the U.S. Attorney's investigation.
