Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On March 23, 2009, The Lubrizol Corporation announced that it has commenced a cash tender
offer for any and all of its $381.8 million principal amount of outstanding 4.625% Senior Notes due
October 1, 2009 (CUSIP No. 54927 1 AD6). The Company expects to purchase the Senior Notes
utilizing a portion of the net cash proceeds from its January 2009 issuance of 8.875% Senior Notes
due 2019. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by
reference.
