Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers. |
Lloyd W. Newton, retired executive vice president of Pratt & Whitney Military Engines, and
retired four-star General with the United States Air Force, was elected to the Sonoco Board
of Directors on February 5, 2008.
General Newton has been appointed to serve on the Audit Committee and the
Employee and Public Responsibility Committee of the Board. These appointments will become effective on March 1, 2008.
