AMERICAN AIRLINES REPORTS FEBRUARY TRAFFIC

FORT WORTH, Texas – American Airlines, the world’s largest airline, reported a February load factor of 76.9 percent – an improvement of 0.3 points compared to the same period last year.  Traffic increased 2.5 percent year over year as capacity increased 2.0 percent.
            Domestic traffic decreased 0.5 percent year over year on 0.2 percent less capacity.  International traffic increased by 8.4 percent relative to last year on a capacity increase of 6.0 percent.
            American boarded 7.1 million passengers in February.
